The third weekend in August is the Danish Festival in my home town, Greenvi

lle, Michigan. Mommy says that even though she's German and Daddy's Italian, we can still go and pretend we're Danish for a day. Mommy, Grandma, and I went for a walk downtown. There were tents full of shiny, pretty things everywhere! We saw a lot of people too.
Later, I went back downtown with my Mommy and her friend Annie. We met my friends Annie and Will and their mommy, Erin, and daddy, Steve. There were so many kids everywhere. I've never seen so many in one place. M

ommy said we were there for the Kiddie Parade. We stood on the side of the road while police cars, floats, and kids road by on decorated bikes. We also saw the Danish Dandies, which are little girls in cute dress with sticks they twirl around. Who knew that's what a Dandy was? Mommy said that I can be in the Parade when I'm older. Maybe I'll ride a float as princess, or decorate my bike, or even be a Danish Dandy. Either way, I get to wear a cute outfit.
After the parade, we went to Annie and Will's house. They are so funny. They entertained me for hours.
